How to Write a University Application: Free Workshop for Grades 8-11
In this free workshop, we will walk your family through what actually goes into a competitive university application, how Canadian universities read each piece, and how to start putting the pieces together from Grades 8-11 so your child's application tells one strong, coherent story instead of a rushed one in Grade 12.

We will cover the full anatomy of a university application, how grades and the transcript are read, how course selection signals rigor, and how the written pieces (the UBC Personal Profile and program supplementary applications like the Waterloo AIF and Queen's PSE) are evaluated. We will break down how to turn real experiences into answers that admissions readers reward, the most common mistakes families make when they leave the writing to the last minute, and the realistic timeline for drafting strong essays over the summer before Grade 12. We will also explain how the Canadian application systems work, from OUAC for Ontario universities to the direct applications used by schools like UBC, and what your child should be doing now so nothing is left to chance.
Parents and students in Grades 8-11 are both welcome. The session is live on Zoom, and we email the link and a short summary after you register.
