Mastering Ivey AEO, Rotman & Sauder Supplemental Essays: Free Workshop for Grades 8-11
In this free workshop, we will walk your family through the supplemental essays and written applications for three of Canada's top business programs: Western's Ivey AEO, Rotman Commerce at U of T, and UBC Sauder. We will cover what each application actually asks, how readers evaluate the responses, and how to build the experiences worth writing about from Grades 8-11.

We will break down the written pieces side by side: the Ivey AEO application and how its activity and leadership essays are read, the Rotman Commerce supplemental application with its written and video components, and the UBC Personal Profile that Sauder applicants complete. We will cover what separates a strong response from a generic one, why polished writing about thin experiences still falls flat, the most common mistakes students make (resume bullets instead of stories, borrowed voice, listing instead of reflecting), and the realistic timeline for drafting each piece before the Grade 12 rush. We will also walk through how students in Grades 8-11 should be building the leadership and initiative these essays reward, so there is something real to write about when the time comes.
Parents and students in Grades 8-11 are both welcome. The session is live on Zoom, and we email the link and a short summary after you register.
