Choosing Between IB, AP, and Regular Courses: Free Workshop for Grades 8-11

In this free workshop, we will walk your family through how top Canadian, US, and UK universities actually weigh IB, AP, and regular streams, where each pathway helps and hurts at admission time, and how to choose the right course mix for your child based on workload, school offerings, and target programs instead of pressure or peer comparison.

What we'll cover

Reserve your spot

We will cover how universities like UBC, the University of Toronto, McGill, Waterloo, the Ivies, the UCs, and top UK schools read IB Diploma, IB Certificate, AP, and regular streams differently, the GPA dynamics that make IB transcripts harder to interpret, where AP courses help most (US college credit, rigor signaling for selective schools), and how strong outcomes are still very possible from a regular stream with the right course strategy. We will also address predicted IB grades, the realistic workload tradeoffs, and how Grade 9 and Grade 10 families should decide between starting the IB Middle Years pathway, taking AP courses where available, or staying in the regular stream.

Parents and students in Grades 8-11 are both welcome. The session is live on Zoom, and we email the link and a short summary after you register.
