How to Pick the Right Undergrad for Medical School: Free Workshop for Grades 8-11

In this free workshop, we will walk your family through what actually makes an undergraduate program a strong pre-med choice in Canada, the US, and abroad, why "Life Sciences" is not automatically the right answer, and how to plan for GPA, research access, clinical exposure, and the MCAT from Grades 8-11 so the road to medical school is real, not theoretical.

What we'll cover

Reserve your spot

We will cover why there is no actual "pre-med major" and how GPA preservation, course difficulty, research opportunities, and clinical exposure differ across UofT Life Sciences, Queen's, Western, McMaster Health Sciences, UBC, and other Canadian options. We will also walk through US pre-med pathways and what the MD vs DO route looks like, the realistic MCAT planning window, the backup pathways families should understand (UK, Ireland, Australia, Caribbean), and how Grade 9 through 11 students should be building experiences that strengthen a medical school application four to six years from now.

Parents and students in Grades 8-11 are both welcome. The session is live on Zoom, and we email the link and a short summary after you register.
