How to Use Grade 11 Summer: Free Workshop for Grade 11 Families

In this free workshop, we will walk Grade 11 families through how to use the summer between Grade 11 and Grade 12 to set up a strong university application, what to actually spend time on, what to skip, and a week-by-week plan for the most valuable uncommitted three months your child has before applications open.

We will cover what universities like UBC, U of T, McGill, Western, Queen’s, and competitive US schools actually look for from a productive Grade 11 summer, how to balance summer programs with research, internships, and self-directed projects, when to start drafting university essays and supplementary applications, how to build out the extracurricular profile in the time that remains, and the realistic week-by-week schedule that gets all of it done without burning your child out. We will also walk through how to choose between paid summer programs, free research opportunities, and unpaid work experience.
