How to Be a Doctor: Canada to UK Pathway - Free Workshop

In this free workshop, we will walk Canadian families through how to become a doctor by going to medical school in the UK directly out of high school, why the UK pathway opens medicine 2-3 years earlier than the Canadian route, and what your child needs to do in Grade 11 and 12 to apply successfully.

We will cover how UK medical schools admit students directly from high school into 5 or 6 year MBBS programs, the differences between Oxbridge, Imperial, UCL, King’s, Edinburgh, and other competitive UK med schools, the role of the UCAT and BMAT exams and when to start preparing, what UCAS applications and personal statements actually require for medicine, how Canadian high school grades and curricula are evaluated by UK medical schools, and how to plan Grade 11 and Grade 12 to position for UK applications. We will also walk through how UK-trained doctors can return to practice in Canada.
