AdmissionPrep-wide experience. Individual results vary.

A strong school can open doors. Your child still needs a plan that is entirely their own.

Private schools often provide strong academics, engaged teachers and established university guidance. Many private school students also benefit from one-on-one time outside school to explore their career interests and build a roadmap guided by their goals, not by the choices being made around them.

AdmissionPrep works alongside the support already available at school. We add the time, structure and follow-through needed to connect courses, grades, extracurriculars, university choices and applications.

Support built around your child

More time, deeper discovery and an independent perspective.

01

More one-on-one planning time

Students get dedicated space to explore who they are, develop their career interests and turn that discovery into a clear step-by-step plan.

The goal is not simply to choose a university. It is to understand what kind of future they are working toward and what needs to happen next.

  1. 01 Discover strengths
  2. 02 Explore careers
  3. 03 Map each next step
02

An independent perspective

Certain universities and programs can become especially popular within a school community.

Whether your child is aiming for those same destinations or considering a different path, we help them evaluate each option on its own merits. Their roadmap should reflect their interests, strengths and goals, not the momentum of the group.

  1. 01 What peers pursue
  2. 02 What fits your child
  3. 03 A reasoned shortlist
03

Hands-on support outside school

Academics are only one part of a strong student profile. We help students connect coursework, extracurriculars and admissions strategy.

That can include building passion projects and community initiatives beyond their private school’s initiatives to create a well-rounded profile, along with one-on-one tutoring when they need another level of academic support.

  1. 01 Academic support
  2. 02 Community initiatives
  3. 03 Application execution

Select courses, target grades, universities and programs. Strengthen academics and develop meaningful experiences beyond school.

  3. 03

Every student should leave each stage knowing what comes next and why it matters.

Support that complements

Your school stays part of the picture. Your child stays at the centre.

Private school guidance and AdmissionPrep are most valuable when they complement one another.

The family can bring recommendations and context from school into our planning process. We help turn that information into one coordinated plan, with clear ownership and follow-through.

AdmissionPrep is an independent education consulting company. We do not represent or replace a student’s school.

Clear next steps for students. A clearer picture for parents.

Parents should not have to guess whether the plan is moving. Regular sessions, written recaps and a shared action plan make it clear what the student is working on, what comes next and where additional support may be needed.

Questions from private school families

What parents usually want to know first.

Does AdmissionPrep replace my child’s school counsellor?

No. We provide an independent layer of one-on-one support that complements the guidance and opportunities already available through school.

What grades do you support?

AdmissionPrep works with students in Grades 8 through 12. Starting earlier creates more time for career exploration, course planning, academic development and meaningful projects.

Can tutoring be included?

Yes. Tutoring can connect directly to the student’s target programs, prerequisite courses and broader admissions plan.

What if my child is unsure about their career direction?

That is often the right place to begin. We help students explore possible careers before asking them to commit to a university or program.
