Computer Science or Software Engineering?
Applicants mix these up constantly, and the difference matters.
Computer science at Waterloo lives in the Faculty of Mathematics. It's theory-rich, flexible, and pairs with co-op. Software engineering is a separate, direct-entry engineering program with its own admission process and a more structured curriculum.
